Another
Busy month here at the Hub! We started the summer holidays off
with a bang with the 1st of our Bounce and Play
sessions. With 3 out of the 4 sessions at capacity, we had so
much fun seeing everyone bouncing into summer! Kids and adults
alike had a great time.
Thank you
to our staff Stacey, Jason & Lisa and our volunteers Enki
and Hilda - we couldn’t do it without you all!
We have many
more fun activities planned this summer break as well as
another Bounce and Play day later in the summer. Follow us on

Bounce and Play has a full size bouncy castle in
our large Manning Hall plus other fun toys to play with! These
sessions are suitable for children ages 2 - 11 years and last
for 75 minutes. A great way to burn off some of that school
holiday energy. Our 2nd Bounce day is coming up on the 20th
August and places are still available.

Dance

We are so excited for this lovely group to start
up this September 2025.
Once Upon a Dance are running a free trial session
on
Saturday 9th August from 9:30 - 10am.

Our last Garden Club session
of the year ran on 29thJuly when
our regulars helped to harvest the
potato’s, courgettes and other vegetables
we have been growing this year, all that
watering was worth the effort! Please contact Ieva
if you would like to join these sessions or
help out in the garden September onwards.
The Trust will be helping out
at the Hub’s summer activities and we look
forward to running some nature based
activities for everyone attending those.
Don’t forget if you wish to explore nearby
Bradgers Hill on your own there are now
explorer packs available to borrow for free
at reception!
Finally, if you are feeling
even more adventurous, the Trust and some
local volunteers will be leading an evening
walk around Bradgers Hill on Thursday
7th August. This will
be a chance to detect and see the resident
bat population and the County’s moth
recorders will be set up with the lights to
attract in the many different and beautiful
species of moth that only come out at
night, it’s a fun and interesting evening
with hot drinks included! Please book your

Let’s
Fish with Luton Angling Club
|
|
Luton Angling Club, in partnership with the Canal
& River Trust (CRT) are giving ‘Lets Fish’ Taster sessions
locally during the school summer Holidays. All tackle and
bait are provided, and our coaches are fully qualified, and DBS
checked. And we are happy to give adults or children (who must
be over 6) a 1 Hour taster session, which should be booked in
advance.

Sessions are held at various locations locally on
the Grand Union Canal, on Tuesdays around Leighton Buzzard. and
Thursdays at Castle Fields Berkhamsted. To find and book our

Get ready for a magical adventure this holiday
season with Dick
Whittington and his Wonderful Cat! Come
along and try out for our longstanding family pantomime,
something that has been a staple of entertainment in Luton
since 1980. Auditions are taking place at Bushmead Community
Hub at 2pm
on Saturday 7th September. Further information will
